This paper explores the influence of English on Macedonian from a contact linguistics perspective. In language contact situations, linguistic borrowing becomes a common process. The goal of this research is to explore the mechanisms of borrowing from English as Macedonian speakers are increasingly exposed to this language driven by globalization and technological advancement. The analysis focuses on linguistic interactions at both the lexical and morphosyntactic levels. It begins by examining material and pattern borrowing, highlighting how English terms and patterns have been integrated into Macedonian vocabulary. The discussion then turns to the morphosyntactic level, providing a brief overview of how English has influenced Macedonian grammar. The paper concludes with remarks on possible strategies for confining borrowing within reasonable limits in order to ensure the future integrity of the Macedonian language.

In the digital age, online media has become a key platform for public
political communication, reshaping the landscape of political discourse
and social engagement. This paper proposes a typology framework to
classify various forms of online media and elaborate on their distinct
roles and functions in political communication. Using interdisciplinary
research perspectives from media studies, political science, and communi-
cation theory, the typology categorizes online media into distinct types,
explaining how they determine communication in the political sphere.
Furthermore, the paper examines how different types of online media
are utilized by political actors, interest groups, and citizens to dissemi-
nate information, mobilize political support, shape public opinion, and
improve civic engagement. The scope of the research includes a review of
existing case studies on online media in North Macedonia and Western
Balkans, combined with empirical analysis of prominent platforms across
different types and demographics. Cultural and linguistic biases may
influence the interpretation of findings, particularly in cross-cultural
analyses. By mapping out the diverse ecosystem of online media and
their different uses in public political communication, this typology
contributes to a deeper understanding of the complex interplay between
technology, media, and politics in the digital era. A sample analysis will
be presented, illustrating the application of the typological framework
to a selection of popular online media platforms

This paper aims to explore the intricate link between religion and
advertisement, focusing on how advertisers use religious signs, values,
and tales to create a connection with consumers. The intersection of
religion and advertising is a very interesting and ever-changing idea that
has had a huge influence on the visual environment of our society. The
adoption of religious symbols and images in advertisements has been on
the rise. Starting from the sacred symbols to the unconscious religious
themes, their integration is a carefully planned method that is intended
to strike a chord with the consumers’ deep cultural and emotional values.
This paper contributes to a new perspective on advertising and religion
in it. It will highlight the historical context, psychological insight, soci-
ocultural analysis, and ethical dilemmas regarding the intersection of
religion and advertising.
To gain an intuitive understanding of the complex relationship between
religion and advertising, it is necessary to examine specific case studies
that exemplify the incorporation of religious elements into marketing
campaigns. This research mainly analyzes two case studies: Coca-Cola’s
“Hilltop” commercial and Nike’s “Take It To The Next Level” commercial.
These two campaigns are chosen for analysis because of their skillful
incorporation of religious elements into their campaigns. The study will
focus on showing how advertisers balance the sacred and the secular
without offending anyone’s religious sensibilities, all to reach mass
audiences, conquer new markets, and perpetuate consumerism. The
underlying question that propels the investigation is how advertisers
can balance the sacred and commercial and what the implications are
for individuals, communities, and society.

Turkish has always been a matter of curiosity and need outside the
borders of the Republic of Turkey. Turkology, which investigates Turk-
ishness, the Turkish language and dialects, as well as Turkish culture,
civilization, and history, started to develop as a discipline in 19th-century
Europe before quickly gaining prevalence. The study of Turkish as a
scientific language in the Balkan geography started after the Ottoman
Empire had withdrawn from these lands. The first Turkology center in
the Balkan geography was established at the University of Belgrade,
and the primary purpose behind its establishment was the Serbs’ need
to know Turkish to be able to understand their own language and cul-
ture. After Belgrade, Turkology centers were opened in other Balkan
cities such as Sarajevo and Skopje, and various studies were also being
carried out. This study aims to reveal the establishment and historical
development of Turkology as a branch of science in the central Balkan
countries. Alongside the Turkology centers, the study also discusses the
history of teaching Turkish as a foreign language (TTFL) in this region
by using qualitative research methods. Based on the obtained data, two
main reasons are seen to have emerged for Turkology studies to begin
in central Balkan countries. The first has been concluded as the need
for the Turkish language to carry out more detailed studies on their
language and culture. The second is the presence of the indigenous
Turkish people living in North Macedonia and Kosovo.

This research paper examines the enduring influence of Ottoman
architecture in Skopje, North Macedonia, through the lens of Evliya
Çelebi, a prominent travel writer of the Ottoman Empire. Focusing
on the 17th century, the study highlights the architectural heritage
reflected in Skopje’s urban fabric, exploring the thematic foundations,
planning principles, and spatial organization of notable structures. By
analyzing Çelebi's “Seyahatname,” we uncover the cultural significance
and imperial authority embedded in key landmarks, particularly the
Kale Fortress and Yahya Pasha Mosque while comparing their historical
and contemporary states. This interdisciplinary approach combines
historical analysis, architectural critique, and urban studies to enrich
our understanding of Skopje’s built environment and its transformation
over time. Ultimately, the research contributes to the broader scholarly
discourse on cross-cultural architectural influences, revealing the complex
interplay between historical forces and urban development
